Perez with the goal at the 84' And Sanchez with insane saves in net. Its the first loss for the Huskies this season. Its also the first match this season the Huskies come up empty.

Beavers finish the regular season 7-3-6, 3-1-5 in conference. Beavers will finish either 2nd or 3rd in the Pac-12 depending on the outcome of the Cal-Stanford match. But more importantly, this win bumps OSU's RPI to #10. First round bye? Going 3-0-2 in the first quadrant certainly helped.

I remember after preseason (non-counting) losses to SU and UP, some posters crying the blues. The Beavs end up with a top 3 spot in conference and a locked-in NCAA tournament berth. We've got a good coach. BTW. Impressive that we held #1 UW to one goal across 2 matches. Who knows, maybe we'll meet 'em again? interesting

First time ever in a single season where the Beavers won at UCLA, at Stanford, and at Washington. Road warriors!

Looking back through old posts since the start of this season. It’s really amusing how certain posters literally ONLY post after a loss, to dump some gloom and doom.
After a HUGE thrilling road win against previously undefeated, current national #1 team….Their posts are nowhere to be found.

Thanks for the updates, Messi. I'd forgotten all about this game.
We should be a decent seed and might not have to travel until the QF.
I did think we were overrated at the start of the season. Like football, baseball and every other sport, in the preseason polls teams are generally ranked based on their previous-season's results and we lost way too much talent to be ranked that high that early. Our new players have developed nicely and I think we are going to be a very tough out in the NCAAs.

Really impressed to win in Seattle. I watched earlier game when Uw tied it in 86 th minute. Glad we sucked the air right out of them. Seems quite a rivalry in soccer. Hop we go far in playoffs.Earlier in the year I was concerned. Now I realize what good coaches can get accomplished.

Not that I watch much soccer, but it didn't look promising at the start of the season. The improvement is staggering! That alone should be a huge recruiting boost for the team.
A big thumbs-up to the coaches and players!

A similar situation presented itself in Seattle, where the Huskies got a corner kick late from the right corner while trailing. In Corvallis, it was headed in for a tying goal. In Seattle, Sanchez came off the line and swatted it away.

While it’d be nice to finish 2nd in the Conference via a Cal win over UCLA, it’s probably better for our RPI for UCLA to get the W today.
