Too bad; she's pretty good. As someone who's had a dislocated patella before, it's no fun. Hope she makes a full recovery.

hate to see this of course, trying to remember, think she had previous injuries, missed time before? On the upside, if there is one, UCLA hasn't lost any players so far, like the horrible two years they had previous.

The Ducks had very little "big" depth to begin with, but it is now virtually nonexistent with these 2 injuries to their centers. In order to combat this crisis, it sounds like there may soon be an annoucement (possibly today) of them bringing in a transfer "big" that is eligible to play right away.

They're down two 4/5 players and still have as many as OSU started with (3). They're expected to bring in Hannah Gusters, but I'm not sure if she'd need some kind of waiver or not given that she already transferred from Baylor to LSU. She's had some disciplinary issues but she's a big body.

Kelly Graves @goduckskg · 12h HUGE NEWS COMING OUT OF OUR PROGRAM TOMORROW!!!
And some comments from another reporter below on what it might be.
Oregon could add a player via the transfer portal as a mid-year enrollee, though there could be waivers and academic requirements that make a late addition challenging. Graves can’t speak about specific players, but former LSU former Hannah Gusters has been linked to the program.
“It’s something we’ll perhaps pursue, so we’ll see,” Graves said. “It becomes more of a priority now.”

Well the "big news" had nothing to do w/ a new player coming in to save the day. Some here will be really excited to find out Sabrina Ionescu is joining the staff as Director of Athletic Culture. I've honestly never heard of that position before and doubt most schools have such a thing.

So she is going to teach new players how to throw tantrums, scream at her teammates, and if that doesn't work getting physical with them.
