While I am not a big fan of Bill Walton's "free association" / "the sixties were good to me" style of basketball commentating, I think this statement from him is very thoughtful, incisive, and spot on. Much respect to the dude and his statement. I suspect the amount of money involved will overcome any common sense arguments unfortunately, but that is the age we live in.
