But players who played against Oregon State:
Astros:
David Hensley, San Diego State (2016)
Hensley batted second and played center for San Diego State. In the first game, Hensley went 2/5 but was stranded both times at second. In the second game he scored the second run against Jordan Britton and the fifth run against Luke Heimlich in a 9-6 Oregon State win. Oregon State was basically a game away from making the field in 2016, so the loss in game one to San Diego State doomed the season.
Phillies:
Kyle Gibson, Missouri (2007)
Kyle Gibson was Missouri's fourth starter. Missouri and Oregon State met in Surprise for each team's fourth game. Daniel Turpen faced off against Gibson. Joey Wong led of the fourth with a base hit and moved over to second on a passed ball. Canham moved Wong over to third on a fly ball. Jason Ogata drove in Wong on a two-out base hit into left field. Ryan Lollis, who made it to the show scored to tie it at one in the bottom of the fourth. Koa Kahalehoe led off the fifth with an infield single. Lonnie Lechelt sacrificed Kahalehoe over and Gibson's throw was wild to put runners on the corners with one out. Mike Lissman then doubled down the left field line to score Kahalehoe. Wong hit an infield single to plate Lechelt, and Barney drove in Lissman with a ground ball. Canham walked to load 'em up, which chased Gibson. No more runs in the fifth, but Oregon State would get three in the seventh and two in the ninth in a 9-2 win. Turpen picked up the win.
Garrett Stubbs, USC (2012-2015)
In game three in 2012, Stubbs started in center and hit eighth. Stubbs went 1/4 in the 6-2 USC win.
In 2013, Stubbs caught. Stubbs went 2/7 in the Oregon State sweep.
In 2014, Stubbs only caught game three. Stubbs led off the fifth with a base hit, was sacrificed to second, and scored on a base hit to give USC a 2-1 lead, which Oregon State could not overcome in a 3-1 Trojan win. The win handed the series to USC. It is notable that the #1 Beavers only lost two series on the season, and USC was the second.
In 2015, Stubbs hit second and caught. In game one, Stubbs scored run #6 and #11 in an 11-3 USC win. In game two, Stubbs scored run #1 in a 3-2 Oregon State walk-off win. In game three, Stubbs drove in run #4 to put USC up 4-2 in the fourth. In the bottom of the fourth, Stubbs had a passed ball to allow the fourth run to score, putting Oregon State up 6-4. Stubbs tagged Trever Morrison out at the plate to preserve a 7-4 deficit in the sixth. Stubbs drove in run #5 on a double and scored run #6, but Mitch Hickey came on to get the final three outs and save the win.
Kyle Schwarber, Indiana (2013-2014)
At the 2013 College World Series, Matt Boyd spun his four-hit shutout against Indiana. Schwarber caught and hit second. Schwarber grounded into the Hoosiers' sole double-play in the sixth. Oregon State 1-0, clinching the spot against Mississippi State in the semifinal.
Schwarber hit second and played left in 2014 at Surprise. Scott Shultz threw a complete game six-hitter against Indiana. Schwarber got one of the six hits this time with two outs in the ninth. Oregon State won 8-1 in the less-exciting rematch.
Rhys Hoskins, Sacramento State (2014)
In 2014, Hoskins played first. In game one, Hoskins scored the game-winner in the eighth. In game two, Hoskins scored Sacramento State's lone run on a solo shot to left off of Zack Reser in an 8-1 Oregon State win.
Weird to see Schwarber and Hoskins batting 1-2 for the Phillies. Gibson threw well in the NLCS but hasn't seen the mound since game two. Hensley was used as a pinch hitter in the first two games of the ALDS but also has not played since. Stubbs has not played since the end of the regular season.
