Hate to see it for any player, that leaves them with a freshman, Basham 6'7" and a sophomore Kyei 6'8" for bigs. They only had 11 players with Prince. I think the rivalry just got more interesting.

Unfortunate about the various injuries, but her career was all hype with very little actual delivery. Wasted height. Nice mid range game, not much else. How does a 6-7 player have a career average of 4.4 reb/game? You can find absolutely tons of guards who do better, plenty of them sub 6 footers. Agreed w/ sparty, I can't envision a WNBA career for Prince.

Too bad. Was looking forward to Jelena schooling her this season. Happy trails Sedona.

As far as 6ft-7in......Well, its like taking a 300 pound guy off the street and putting a football uniform on him and expecting him to contribute as a lineman because he weighs 300lbs.

What keeps a player with her physical attributes, and her basketball skills, from producing more on the court is a mystery. I think she is a coaches nightmare because of the gap between her promise and her productivity.... The Ducks may have just gained by subtraction without knowing it.... GO BEAVS!!

She's not just some rando though. She clearly has some skills and is reasonably athletic. Rebounding is at least partially about desire, and with that career statistic she appears to be pretty much allergic to grabbing boards.

To some extent Mit and Prince arrived at their schools with the same skill set. Both of them were good mid-range shooters.
Prince was allowed to stick with that because the Ducks had Sabally to go inside. The result was that Prince was on the outside and not able to go for the offensive rebounds.
Mit has been switched to an inside game and so now has somewhat lost her mid-range shooting but is nicely developing her inside game and has the best rebound rate in the pac-12. I'd say that in this case SR's decision was by far the better long range planning. Mit's shooting suffered for a while but I think her % will greatly improve this year.

Prince had a pretty serious injury before arriving to college. Leg injuries are no joke. She did underwhelm given her combination of mobility, size, and a soft touch, but she was still a pretty solid player in her two years at UO. She's thought of highly enough by the rest of the league to have been an All Pac-12 preseason selection. OSU and UO depth in the front court now looks pretty similar, though they still have an additional forward.

Sedona Prince - College career: 48 games (27 starts). Avg about 21 minutes per game. Avg. about 10 Pts / 4.5 rebounds per game. About 1.4 blocked shots per game.
Named to 2022-2023 PAC-12 pre-season All-Conference Team.
I'd take Jelena Mitrovic over her in about 1/10th of a second.
NBA will not flock to her.
Brings to mind (imho), Milli Vanilli.

Will fail in the WNBA - will quite possibly play ONE less WNBA game than Aleah Goodman. 12 teams x 12 roster spots = 144 players. A very elite group, the best of the best. Prince will never suit up for a regular season WNBA game.
