I think he’s got a chance Makes more sense than Truss. A fun fact, the last time someone other than Queen Elizabeth II appointed a Prime Minister, it was when George VI appointed Winston Churchill for Churchill's second term on October 25, 1951, almost 71 years ago. King Charles III gets to appoint the next one.

Or Governor General Sir John Kerr terminating popularly-elected Prime Minister Gough Whitlam in Australia in 1975. Queen Elizabeth also almost had to step in to sort out the aftermath of the election in 1974. There were fears that she would also have to do so in 2010, as well. The way that most of the Commonwealth conducts elections is pretty comical, when you dig into it.
