Greg Fuchs OSU to WSU. Jake Harvey OSU to CS-Fullerton to WSU Both are penciled in as starters. One of the most glaring weaknesses of the 2022 Beavers was demonstrated by the fact that they were 'reduced to" starting Fuchs in just over half their games. .670 OPS is not what a team looks for as a DH or as a 4th Outfielder. Wheeler was sorely missed. Fuchs takes his D-1 lifetime BA of .223 to another D-1 school. He may have been better served going the Billy King route. I note that the info in the original post may have come from the D-1 Baseball article that appeared today. I think they typically have a pretty good pulse on things. But holy Mike Rooney! He sums up Fuchs as "a physical lefthanded hitter (6-foot-1, 197 pounds) with a knack for quality at bats." I think many fans remember an entirely different 'knack' in 2022.

Thats the thing.....Fuchs did have some quality AB's.....there was just too much time in between em.

A Beaver on a Cougar may be flavorful, but it might not be the flavor you were hoping for. Speaking baseball-wise, of course.
