One of the few athletes to completely revolutionize his sport/event.
He and the Gogolaks were sporting revolutionaries, introducing a clearly superior method and fighting a hostile, reactionary status quo.

There were two Gogolaks, Pete and Charlie. Pete was the first, played for the Bills and Giants, and was more successful. Charlie's son, Charles Gogolak, is a major Hollywood producer of movies/TV shows, such as "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" and TV shows like "This is Us" and "The Sinner," a great series on Netflix.
