I'm nearly 60 years old and until today I have never asked anyone for an autograph. I had a flight from PDX to SEA and now I'm waiting for a flight to Europe. The Seattle flight was overbooked and I was in group 5. I thought the plane would be a dash8 but it was one of the old airbuses that Alaska acquired when they bought Virgin. I was able to gate check my bag before I entered the airplane. But anyway there were three 25ish year old guys in front of me in the line to get the boarding pass scanned. One guy I thought I recognized but wasn't sure. He seemed a bit smaller than I would have expected. Then I saw another of the three had a "Beavers" backpack with #32 on it. When we got to the gate agent I heard the agent say "thank you Adley." The three sat just across the aisle from me. I texted my wife and son and they were both basically screaming at me to ask for his autograph. I had put my briefcase in the overhead bin a few rows in front of me. So I asked the lady next to me if she had a pen and could I borrow it. She dug through her backpack and purse but could only find eyeliner. If you don't know (I didn't) eyeliner is a lot like a tiny paintbrush. So I finally asked Adley if he could sign an autograph. He was extremely gracious and said sure. He had some trouble with the eyeliner but signed my boarding pass.

I hope he doesn't stick around long, the air quality is turrible right now. 206 AQI "Very Unhealthy" #1 in the world.

Well, he was in Corvallis last weekend at the Alumni golf tournament, so maybe heading back to Baltimore.

32 is somebody else. He signed 35 with his name Mitchell Verburg? He's been #32 for the past half-decade I think. The plot thickens!
