In order to do this properly, voters would have to look back to how the team did last year, who they lost to portal and graduation, and who they have coming in. I seriously doubt that many of these folks go to that much trouble for a preseason poll.
Oregon State and UCLA were NIT teams last year, and that's certainly no big deal. Both have big time recruiting classes coming in, but UCLA lost nobody in the portal. So they get a handful of votes, and we don't. No surprise. Also, the PAC 12 (going on 10) Conference, which had been so strong for years, underperformed markedly last year.
We don't have any real hope of garnering national attention until after the Hawaii and Knight events.

The only ranking that matters is at the end of the tourney.

We need to prove we belong on that list. This team believes that, and they’ll have their opportunities to prove it early on.

The Beavers are just too much of an unknown for most of the country right now. I think they'll be pretty good and I expect most of the fans do as well, but everyone else is going to focus on the players the team lost. Even so, I'm a little surprised they didn't even get one vote. Doesn't matter at all, though.
