Some of his thoughts and I'm paraphrasing
1. Turley...weren't sure he would be a beav possibly being drafted in the top 15. Was offered a nice $$$ by MLB.Turned it down. Tools as good as any frosh in the country. 1 bomb to LC in Bend...the first on an 0-2 count. Power, arm, hitter, speed. 2. Lots of explosiveness in this frosh class...position players with their legs and bat. 3. Kasper...left handed hitter hit two bombs in Bend. Starting to adjust to what the coaches want at the plate. High hopes he can be a full time player next spring. 4. Quinn...hit 98/99 in Bend. Could be a nice piece next spring if he can throw strikes. 5. Peterson...infielder who should be in the mix at 3b and 2b frosh 6. Craig...imposing frosh...6-6 235-240 utility player 7. Easton Talt...explosive frosh. Drag bunt Saturday timed at 3.5 to 1b. Bazzana was timed in 3.64. 8. Bazzana and Forrester are great examples for the newcomers in how they work

Some Fitt notes would be awesome.
Aaron knows his stuff.
And . . . I think he is a secret admirer of OSU's Baseball program.

Pretty exciting interview. Gavin Turley looks fantastic of course, and I think Ely Kennel and Dallas Macias are going to be really, really good. But for some reason, Easton Talt is a guy I'm really intrigued by. Lots of torque in his swing, he can play a bunch of positions, super fast too. Looking at his older tape to some of the newer swings you can see online, there's been a ton of improvement, he loads his hips better and I'm sure he'll improve even more once he gets on campus. When he gets a little bigger, I think his gap to gap power turns into a lot of home runs. I think he's criminally underrated and I'd expect him to get on the field quite a bit pretty early in his career. If anybody wants to listen. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-joe-beaver-show-10-5-stanford-radio-analyst-john/id1508422144?i=1000581726963

Kennels bat gets him in the line-up before his glove. Not saying his defense Is bad, just saying his bat is is strength. Can't wait to see Turley. Elite athlete. I know there is a lot of excitement over Quinn. he pitched briefly in a game I went to for the Knights, and the hitter ripped it into right field. At 98,that is a power arm,but it's his control and second pitch that will get him on the mound.

DJ Carpenter threw hard too…….couldn’t miss a barrel though. Hopefully there’s run on the fastball and complimentary secondary pitches.

Talt was a highly productive / low profile player his Junior and Senior seasons at Sunrise Mountain HS in Peoria.AZ.
Easton is a native of Everett, Washington and played his freshman and Sophomore years at Everett's Cascade HS.
Easton was 5-11, 175 when measured in August of 2021. Bats left, throws right. Has a strong frame and projects pull side power. A very mature hitter with plate discipline, zone awareness, bat speed and barrel consistency. Has a full field approach to hitting.
Easton is very fast - runs in the mid 6's in the 60. Speed and athleticism put CF and SS in the picture and he has college level catching ability. In discussion about the best hitters in Arizona, Easton Talt belongs squarely in that discussion.

My dad and I are not scouts by any means, but we watch a ton of college, and mostly Beaver baseball......Talt was the kid who stood out most to both of us last night. He looked good behind the plate. Fast and aggressive.....Seems like a kid you want to find a place for in the lineup. Maybe he ends up DH'ing some??
