I absolutely hate the Yankees! They are the ducks, of my world. But let's be honest, Aaron Judge is the true home run champ.

I think it’s a great story! Maris and Aaron, too! McGuire, Sosa…..Bonds…. were stories, too. PED stories. NOT great stories. Not a Yankees fan.

In 2013 I believe, Judge was playing for Fresno State versus osu in the preseason. Playing baseball for osu is NFL safety Jordan Poyer. I know Judge got a key single to help FSU to a victory over osu.

Meh. Home runs are overrated. Beaver baseball has spoiled me with small ball.

2011...Fresno beat osu 5-4 when Judge was a frosh. Judge hit a single and Poyer was 0-2. Real early game...2 and 3 on the season. Tied going into the 9th. Oregon State played Judge twice in 2011, both in Fresno, games three and four on the season. Cam Booser started. He would start the first two weeks before being moved to the bullpen for four appearances. He redshirted in 2012 and transferred out after that. The game against Fresno was the second for Oregon State that day, so the Beavers played without Andrew Susac. Parker Berberet started at catcher instead. Fresno's leadoff hitter was Danny Muno, the freshman player of the year, who helped the Bulldogs win the National Championship in 2008. Muno would go onto play a couple of months for the Mets before he was demoted for less-than-stellar defensive play. Mike Batesole hit Aaron Judge eighth. The game against Oregon State was Judge's second at Fresno. Judge grounded out to pitcher in the third. Booser handled the first time through the order well, only allowing two hitters to reach and doubling off one. Booser gave up a homer in the fourth and looked to be in trouble before the Bulldogs ran themselves out of the fourth, Berberet tagging out a Fresno runner. In the fifth, Judge hit a ball into left for a base hit. Judge moved to second on a balk. Muno hit a two-out base hit into center to drive home Judge. Booser walked the next batter, and Muno stole third to chase Booser. Cole Baylis came in and ended the threat. Berberet doubled to lead off the seventh and scored on two straight ground balls. Baylis struck out Judge on three pitches in the bottom of the seventh. A Kavin Keyes error chased Baylis. Boyd came on to close it out, but only Berberet reached over the final two innings. Judge's run proved to be the game winner. Josh Osich had TJ surgery after the 2009 season and missed all of 2010. The second Fresno game was his first start since 2009. In the first, Luke Acosta hit a base hit to center, which the Bulldog centerfielder mishandled, allowing Acosta to make it over to third. Andrew Susac drove in Acosta on a long fly ball to Judge in right. Osich retired five of the first six before walking the seven-hitter. Judge singled to Poyer, who mishandled the ball, allowing the seven-hitter to score. Osich walked the next batter, and Muno hit a double to clear the bases to chase Osich. 3-1 Fresno, an inauspicious start to Osich's 2011 campaign. Tony Bryant came on to strike out the second-hitter to end the threat. Poyer hit an infield popup in the third. Bryant cruised into the fourth. Bryant retired the first two hitters, before Judge singled. The next hitter singled as well, but Bryant was able to strikeout Muno to end the threat. Poyer struck out in the fifth. Austin Wynns, who plays for the Giants now, led off the sixth with a base hit. A wild pitch and ground ball moved Wynns over to third. Ryan Gorton came on to replace Bryant, but gave up a base hit to Judge to center. Gorton then walked the bases full before inducing the two-hitter to line out to Carter Bell to end the sixth. Ryan Dunn led off the seventh with a base hit. Poyer was subbed out, but Jared Norris flew out to left. Brian Stamps walked. Acosta reached on an error by the shortstop. Susac struck out for out #2. Berberet hit a base hit to left to score Dunn and Stamps, but Bell struck out with two runners in scoring position to end the threat. Dan Child got Judge to flyout to center. In the top of the ninth, Stamps singled to right and moved over to second on an error by Judge. Acosta reached on a bunt single. Susac hit a groundball to Muno, who threw out Stamps at the plate. Acosta moved over to third on a wild pitch. Wynns tried to throw out Acosta but the ball skipped past Muno to score Acosta and move Susac over to second. With a free base, Berberet was intentionally walked. Bell struck out, and Garrett Nash flew out to Judge to end the threat. In the bottom of the ninth, Gorton gave up a leadoff single. Having squandered Boyd the previous day, Dunn pitched. Dunn got the next batter, but walked the batter after. With two on and one out, Wynns hit a ball into left to score the runner on second. 5-4.

Somehow, Cam Booser is still pitching professionally, despite not advancing past AA in his career. You get 15 lives in baseball if you are a lefty. www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=booser000camJosh Osich retired after last season and now lives in Kennebunkport, Maine. One of his neighbors is the family of the late GHB. Josh is another lefty who seemed to have nine lives.
