last night with 3 hits became the first rookie since 2014 to record at least 160 hits in a season. now 7th in the AL batting average. Rookie of the year race not over !

José Abreu was the last rookie to hit more. Abreu had 176 hits. Of course, Abreu was a 27-year-old, who defected from Cuba in 2013, after relations between Cuba and the United States started to thaw some. In other news, the Guardians wrapped up the Central. It is the Cleveland's first Division title since winning three straight from 2016-2018. Andrés Giménez' all-star season and Steven Kwan's addition are reason's #1 and #2 that the Guardians are doing so well |
