OSU's coaches will be paying a home visit to 6'6" Shayley Harris on September 14. Harris is currently rated #49 nationally by Prospects Nation. She plays her AAU basketball for JBS, an adidas team based out of Sacramento. She was on campus in late June with her high school team for an OSU team basketball camp. As a high school sophomore in '15-'16, Harris averaged 12.7 points, 7.5 boards, and 4.4 blocked shots per game for University Prep out of Redding, California. Btw, She is in nearly in Cal's backyard.

It seems like coach SR has one advantage over most of those other programs -
"Hi Shaylee, let me tell you about a young lady at OSU about your size who plays your position named Ruth Hamblin.......now of the Dallas Wings"
Though I have no idea how recruits pick schools (I have teenagers of my own, and their decision making process is a black box to me as well).
Also, she came to our camp this summer, and she looks like that Beaver uniform is a perfect fit for her! Hopefully she bonded well with our new players in town working the camp......
