When you consider the Top-40 ranked prep players in any recruiting class are considered to be prime MLB Draft targets, this kind of ranking isn't favorable for Beaver baseball fans.
Number 8: Xavier Neyens
6-2 195 L/R 3B Mount Vernon, WA - Oregon State commit. Mount Vernon HS and Trosky National '25 Travel team
"Huge production showing an advanced approach, big LH power with advanced feel in the box; big catch and throw skills, arm strength is a weapon.

Throwing a few more logs on the fire.
"In Washington, ATH Xavier Neyens (Mount Vernon, WA) has done nothing to loosen his hold on the top spot. Nationally he has some of the best pop in the entire country for his class and can handle multiple spots on the diamond. On the mound, he just recently bumped 94 mph with his FB this summer. Overall, Neyens is a major talent and shows no signs of slowing down”
UTL./RHP Xavier Neyens’ (Mount Vernon HS, WA) rise inside this update is the biggest movement within our top-10 ranking. It’s easy to dream of his future as either a big left-handed stick or power arm because Neyens presents multiple carrying tools already, and he should have a strong chance of elevating his two-way skill set to new heights in the coming years. His present ability to stand out among fellow elite peers only adds to his allure and upside. The Oregon State recruit moves up to No. 7 in the class overall.
