Watching Penn State vs Purdue on FOX ... it has been a pretty competitive game so far.
They have the whole "FOX Big Noon Kickoff" crew there in West Lafayette with ol Urban Meyer coming back to his old gig there after his less then spectacular NFL coaching try lol

I gave Cal Poly @ Fresno St and NAU @asu about three minutes each, just to see how our future opponents look. They look good and they both have athletes. I know the competition is low, but ASU and Fresno St are doing what good (not average) 1-A schools are supposed to do: blasting their 1-AA opponents out of the stadium. I don't think either of them are going to be easy, especially on the road.

San Jose State 21 - Portland State 17 with about 55 seconds left. San Jose State 21 - Portland State 17 is the final. The Vikings' final pass fell incomplete in the end zone. The Spartans scored the game-winner with 1:11 left. Portland State finished with more than 15 minutes more time of possession. The Vikings finished with three turnovers, though, once in the red zone and twice inside the Vikings' own 25. But San Jose State did not convert any of the three turnovers into any points. Weird game. |

Purdue must not have much faith in their running game. They should have been able to run out the clock if they had one. Instead they kept stopping the clock with the passing incompletions. |

Purdue had the worst rushing offense in all of FBS last year. The Boilermakers were averaging 4.1 ypc against Penn State, though. |
