Go to instagram under beavers or someone on girls team shows her playing in a pickup game probably at OSU. This Gal is really going to rattle some cages this winter at OSU GAMES. I don’t see many who can stop her one on one game. Unreal basketball skills. She’s ready for the next level. She could beat most of the pac 12 teams by herself. Check it out. Put it on this site people will really enjoy her game. She can what it looks like play the 1-2 or three. But she is only 5-10. She makes the game look easy! Wonderful get by Rueck. Wish she was 6-4…….ha. If she can pass to Jelena could score 30 points a game. In fact both Reagan and Timea are really good passers between just those three someone up front will have a lot of points per game. This video should fire up our base for this winter! Is it this video?: www.instagram.com/reel/ChK0W71Jgk9/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

Thanks beavsteve. Agree that Bendu can play multiple positions. More than anything, she has handles & quickness. Hopefully we have a few others who can handle the rock.

I think we another with handles and quickness in Shalexxus Aaron. In the announcement of her transfer ( osubeavers.com/news/2022/5/16/womens-basketball-beavers-add-transfer-shalexxus-aaron ) Rueck said “She is an outstanding 3-point shooter, a gifted passer, and has point guard handles.” And… she’s a big guard. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Yeaney or Aaron as the starting point guard. I have no doubt they will get significant PT.

I hope she does well and can give Talia some relief on both ends of the court, but we have 3 years of evidence of her playing in the Pac-12 that have been relatively average. And a coach that sounds like didn’t really want or need her on the roster any longer. Maybe a fresh start closer to home will be just what she needs. But let’s not get carried away.

Bendu is a + to this team no matter how you evaluate. Defensively, experience, ball handling, etc. Especially with so many 1st year players. I've liked this player since I first watched her play for Indiana. She has mental toughness like Jamie Weisner, and that tends to rub off on others.

From the standpoint that this is a young team you are correct on that. With one of Scotts more experienced teams in the past she would be more as a back up player.

She will likely have the biggest offensive green light of her career, and most certainly a year where it will be needed. She could make a senior leap given the expanded role that will be asked of her.

I really hope Bendu has a senior leap - indeed I'm hoping she has a super leap....
The talent level of this team pretty much demands one or two players to make SIGNIFICANT leaps over past performance if they are to be a top 3 or top 4 contender...
I agree with beaverstever when he says Bendu may be given the biggest offensive green light of her career, and I also agree this is a year when it is needed. But, getting a green light and delivering are two different topics. Thus far in her career Bendu has shown flashes of being able to deliver when needed, but usually only when the opportunity presents itself....Her perimeter shot is not strong, and it's rare for a shooter to suddenly develop a premiere shot in the 4th or 5th year of her university career....So I view that as a long shot....
I'm excited about her possibilities because she is quick, muscular, and she can attack the basket aggressively even though she is not a strong finisher. She plays with intensity and fire and that is a good thing for this team which, in my view, needs a hair-on-fire type player, or two.
But back to the hope that she comes thru in fine fashion this season and has a great senior leap - -I'm hoping for it as much as anyone... GO BEAVS!!

So is that why you joined this board to turn it into a psychoanalyst s board and not a basketball board. You act like you know me? You also chose a particular option response to make something about me and not the subject! Why? Bendu is a hope for the beavers I’m glad she gave us that video. I said this about her even with exaggeration to make a point. But that’s what’s wrong with psychiatry is more prone to miss the difference between exaggeration and reality because it has no real science to prove your point about what constitutes crazy. Stick a patch over that guys left eye and he looks a whole lot like carlosdanger!

My thoughts about Ms Yeaney -- she is going to be a dagger to the competition's heart with her defense and quietly amassing a good scoring average. It's just my opinion!

As Yeaney goes so does this team. Should be a preseason all Pac selection. Gonna be a star on this team and they need her to be.

I just don't see what some others are seeing. In 2 years at UA never showed any consistent ability to score. Poor perimeter shooter. Doesn't finish as well on drives as you'd like to see for a player with her physical abilities. She'll definitely get after it on defense, but OSU needs scoring and I just don't think she'll bring that much in that department. We'll see, but I think some are putting too much hopes and expectations on her broad shoulders.
Speaking of D, it's gonna be interesting to see how she fits in Rueck's system. At UA it was all about being in your face and as aggressive and physical as possible. That is NOT Rueck's M.O.
