A few Beaver updates for everyone.... Kodiak wrestling at the world championships today and tomorrow I believe most if not all freshman recruits are on campus now Wrestling room "re-orgainization" is looking good - some high tech cardio stuff being implemented. Old teachers are gone. Prospect camps are going well. The staff has been having them in various states...next week is Idaho. Jacob Barnes is transferring Cory Crooks is doing an amazing job as an assistant.... shout out to Cory if he ever reads the boards. FUNDRAISING -It takes money to build a good program that includes and RTC ...OSU is on there way to just that - There are many opportunities to support Oregon State and the RTC - Buy a ticket for the car raffle .... sweet old hot rod... $100 a ticket Sign up for the golf outing the same weekend at the BSU game - Take in both in the same weekend! Donate directly to the RTC

Saw the update on Barnes, looks like he ended up at Linfield. Not sure if it’s been mentioned but Fiorentino also has left the program
I also am curious about HWT. Hastriter looks like option 1 as of now. Maybe Torzano? Do we think there is another potential transfer out there?
Thanks for the great update!

Hastriter looks like option 1 as of now. Maybe Torzano? Do we think there is another potential transfer out there? Thanks for the great update! Dixon is big, strong and healthy.... He and Hastriter will battle it out. Hastriter is working hard. I believe Toranzo is staying down... he isn't very tall. I'm not sure he has the frame for HWT...he's already pretty thick and solid with his power lifting background. I haven't heard any word of a transfer and I don't think there is much out there. A lot of lifting and technique this summer for the whole team. Getting stronger and refining technique. A lot of participation this summer. Good things happening for improvement. I think there will be a few drops from last years roster with the new class and the transfers coming in. It makes the room stronger. Coaches have said they are going to keep a pretty big roster. The thing that is great about our staff is that they work with all kids. Very hands on working with all kids - not just AA. Starting to see some leadership in the room with guys jumping in and helping each other - great environment. That being said - we are in the right direction, but this years lineup will be different. Losing 3 AA will be tough, but the kids and coaches are doing the right things. An article on intermat - passed on to me: intermatwrestle.com/articles/26037

I keep looking over the roster to try and pencil who is going to wrestle where. Lots of opportunity for us to have a great team this year. Also any concerns about Dixon at HWT? I feel like he falls into the shorter category as well. Also thank you for the great insight and information

JJ is a good 2-3 inches taller than Toranzo- Around 6'. JJ has a longer build and longer arms than Toranzo. JJ was cutting a good amount of weight to get to 197. He will still be on the small side of heavy - especially when battling Schultz or any other 260+ guys. , but he was cutting a lot to get to 197. He's gotten himself into the 235-240 range. Hastriter is a good 3 inches taller than JJ... the kid is big and has hit the weights hard - both are great coachable kids too. We will see what happens there. As far as subtractions - we had a number of guys that could have come back another year - but graduated and are moving on - Still, Strassberg, Kata, Stigall, Strassenberg.... of course we also lost Willits, Willits, Traub, Crooks, Turner ... Lost Barnes and yes I believe Florentino.... Not sure about Enriquez - he is in the portal... a few other guys I am also not sure about... so in all we lose about 12-15 off the roster and gain a few transfers - Lara, Belton, Fouret... plus our recruiting class... put us about even with additions and subtractions. I want to encourage everyone, if you are in the area to sign up for the golf outing and also buy a ticket for the car raffle. There is also an online auction connected to the golf outing. It's online so you can do it wherever you are. There will also be some other events coming up as well. Of course you can always straight out donate to the program .
