It really shows that the schools with the biggest fan bases get that way by attracting fans outside of the alumni...Texas A&M is really the only outlier and that's because Texas basically owns the state. Just look at the top...Stanford, Northwestern and Vanderbilt are all very similar in that they are private schools with alumni bases that are very connected to the school. Just very few people outside those bubbles care. But all in all it's not really a negative for a school no matter where it happens to land here,

You could do a survey, asking fans who their favorite college team is and whether they were an alum, but this was clearly too perfect with Duke and ND down there with the 0.5%, and the 0.01%. I wouldn't be totally surprised if someone did something like this.

You could do a survey, asking fans who their favorite college team is and whether they were an alum, but this was clearly too perfect with Duke and ND down there with the 0.5%, and the 0.01%. I wouldn't be totally surprised if someone did something like this. You could do that and if you did all that work, you'd cite your sources.

I was only saying it wouldn't be difficult to do.
