I am surprised none of them picked Taylor Swift, but what do I know (not much). She was just awarded the songwriter/artist of the decade by Nashville Songwriters Association International. She was also named artist of the decade by the American Music Awards back in 2019.

Because, yeah, two singers who were big in the 50s and are dead would certainly not be relatable to these 5 young women just as much as Taylor Swift would not be relatable to them in the 2010s...you know, a world wide mega star contemporary to their formative years when they were growing up. |
