Great Beav was Drew!! The guy who picthed a perfect game in 2015 for the Beavs.
The guy who didn't leave the Beavs until the 3rd time he was drafted (2014, 2017, 2018). And that includes a 1st Round pick in 2017. Amazing.

Rasmussen v. Rutschman
Rutschman flew out to the warning track in right center and then hit two ground balls to second. After Rasmussen came out, Rutschman struck out to end the game.

Would Rasmussen have been the first player to throw a perfect game in College AND MLB?

Would Rasmussen have been the first player to throw a perfect game in College AND MLB? I am assuming at a Division 1 College. Working backward, Félix Hernández and Matt Cain did not attend college. Philip Humber did not throw a perfect game at Rice. Roy Halladay did not attend college. Dallas Braden threw a one-hitter at American River College but never had another performance that good at Texas Tech. Mark Buehrle attended Jefferson College. Randy Johnson did not have a complete game at USC. He was very wild, not really starting to become the player he became until after getting traded to the Mariners from the Expos early in the 1989 season. He still led the Majors in walks and hit batsmen until things really started to click in 1993. David Cone, David Wells, Kenny Rogers, and Dennis Martínez did not attend college. Tom Browning pitched at Le Moyne. Len Barker and Catfish Hunter did not attend college. Sandy Koufax attended Cincinnati for a season before the Dodgers signed him. He was 3-1. Koufax was signed on a basketball scholarship at great basketball school at the time. The basketball coach was also the baseball coach and got Koufax to go out for the baseball team after basketball ended. I do not believe that Koufax threw a perfect game at Cincinnati; otherwise, you would assume that it would be mentioned? Anyway, Koufax had similar but less pronounced issues to Randy Johnson. He could throw fast but was not very accurate in college. Jim Bunning attended Xavier for a year before the Tigers signed him. Freshman could not play on varsity. He threw three one-hitters on the freshman team but never threw a no-hitter. Don Larson did not attend college. I don't believe that Charlie Robertson attended college. Adrian "Addie" Joss pitched at St. Mary's College in Watertown, Wisconsin, which no longer exists. St. Mary's College was so good with Joss that they played on the semi-pro circuit rather than playing other colleges. Denton "Cy" Young dropped out after completing the sixth grade. John Montgomery Ward helped start up the baseball team at Penn State. However, he had to drop out during his freshman year, because he bent so many rules. And he was expelled his second year after stealing a chicken and lying about it. So, it is unclear if Ward actually played an organized game at Penn State. J. Lee Richmond pitched at Brown, while simultaneously throwing two no-hitters for a minor league team in Worcester (one against the Chicago White Stockings, who later became the Cubs, in a seven-inning game, where Richmond walked the leadoff batter in the first and the second in the minor league championship game against the Washington Nationals). Richmond, of course, was pitching back before the four ball walk rule was in effect. It required nine balls to walk a batter. The answer to your yes or no question is "Probably yes."

Just to put a capper on this, it is now officially 10 years and three days since Félix Hernández' perfect game. That is the longest perfect game dry spell since the 13 years and one week between Catfish Hunter's 1968 perfect game and Len Barker's 1981 perfect game.
Since Félix Hernández' perfect game eight pitchers have taken a perfect game into the ninth. They are:
April 2, 2013 Yu Darvish (Rangers) v. Astros September 6, 2013 Yusmeiro Petit (Giants) v. Diamondbacks June 20, 2015 Max Scherzer (Nationals) v. Pirates August 23, 2017 Rich Hill (Dodgers) v. Pirates September 8, 2018 Jorge López (Royals) v. Twins July 19, 2019 Mike Leake (Mariners) v. Angels April 14, 2021 Carlos Rodon (White Sox) v. Indians August 14, 2022 Drew Rasmussen (Rays) v. Orioles
Of those eight, Drew Rasmussen completed eight innings with the second-fewest pitches, only requiring 79 pitches. Arguably, the second most-dominant single-game pitching performance in the Majors in the past decade.
As an aside, Terrin Vavra (Minnesota '18) made his debut for the Orioles on July 29th. And Grenier has a spot in the infield again at Norfolk. A terrible last 2+ months from Grenier, though, with a bat. Two silver sombreros this month, and a golden sombrero back in June. Grenier has been hitting under the Mendoza line since the end of May. Just awful.
