Thought he was just a puny little guy under that uniform. Whoops!

That was a no-doubter. The MLB hitters work towards 98mph exit velocity at a 25 degree angle - that's an HR in any park in normal conditions.

Love seeing this.
Bazzana came in with a lot of hype and buzz. He's clearly a very high-energy player with a ton of fire to him.
He came in and made an instant impact, but faded down the line. His play stabilized in the postseason, but you didn't really get that 'star-in-the-making' feeling as the season closed out.
The hope is that he takes a ton of motivation and fire into the offseason and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Seeing this update on his offseason progeess is a very good sign!

I expect him to bring it all next year and be huge for us. He’s got decent speed and lots of energy. Now that he’s seen it all, he’ll be ready to be a leader.

Unlocking his power potential will be key for him.

Unlocking his power potential will be key for him. And our offense. Hopefully we can find a high OBP guy to leadoff so we can let Baz and Forrester bat 2 & 3.

True Freshman, as a starting player in the PAC, is a tough assignment. Here's Travis' freshman OPS, compared with a couple of other OSU middle infielders that started as Freshman: Travis Bazzana = .903 Nick Madrigal = .837 Cadyn Grenier = .653 ..........and then there's Adley Rutschman (freshman) = .629 OPS....and finally Jacoby Ellsbury (freshman) = .937. "Star-in-the-making", I'll take it (Bazzana's 2022 season, that is). I think his biggest improvements need to be in the area of defense and baseball 'awareness'.
