Article mentions TJ Wheeler returning to form in summer ball. That is so great to hear. The baseball success is fine, but the fact his eye must be recovering fully is so much better to hear.
Wonder where/what league he's playing in?

Wonder where/what league he's playing in? As long as he’s not playing in a pirate league, he should be good to go. Too soon?

You might think TJ Wheelers favorite letter is R, but his first love is the C.

Joey Mundt was at the Knights game last night with Ryan Brown watching Braden Boisvert pitch for the Bend Elks. Anyone know Joey’s status for this coming season?

I believe Victor Quinn pitched Tuesday. Didn't even know he was on the Knights roster. Throws very hard, but Bend didn't seem to put the bat on the ball...first hitter roped a ball to right field. Have been to four games this year,Kennel didn't play in any of them. Bad timing on my part.

That's pretty cool that 2 Beav pitchers came to see their teammate Boisvert pitch. Branden had 4 starts for the Elks this summer, with 'middling' results. I suspect last night will be his final summer appearance. 4 starts / 16 IP / 17 H / 6 BB / 13 K / .283 BAA / 1.44 WHIP. As for Mundt, way back in Feb. (at Surprise AZ - though after it was known he was out for the season) - Mundt said that he'd be a Beav pitcher in 2023 (despite being 2022 draft eligible). So much (especially pitching) can change between now and Feb. 2023 to May 2023. That's illustrated when I just now re-read a Kerry Eggers article from 2/7/2022 "Beavers' Eyes on the Prize" - just a week before the season began. That article discussed the pitching staff for the upcomming 2022 season like this: Weekend Starters: Hjerpe, Pfennigs, Frisch Mid-week Starters: Townsend, Kmatz Closer: Verburg Mid-inning relievers: Sebby, Mundt, Hunter Cope, DJ Carpenter, Sam Stuhr, Ian Lawson, Ryan Brown Not mentioned in article: Ferrer, Lattery, Jaren Hunter

I'm wondering if anyone knows the status of Joey’s recovery from the injury that kept him out last season. And speaking of Hunter Cope, anyone know his status for next season? I saw Hunter in Beaver gear and with an arm sling, along with Joey, at a restaurant during the season. This after it was reported on here that he had been booted from the team.
