Dane Lais is a 6-4, 202 RHP from Oregon City HS that becomes the 11th pitcher, and 20th member of the 2023 recruiting class.
In his quest to strengthen and deepen the Beaver roster, Coach Canham has now recruited 42 new players to the program during the 2022 and 2023 recruiting cycles.
Lais has developing velo at 88-89 mph and has recorded 91.+ mph fastballs last spring, a slider at 77 mph and an 78 mph change up. Oregon City had a difficult year in 2022, finishing at 4-19 and 0-16 in Three Rivers League play.
Dane is ranked #11 on the Oregon Top-36 by Baseball Northwest and # 16 on the Oregon Top-30 by Prep Baseball Report.
I believe he is walking on.
Good student with a 3.96 Overall GPA.
