Thanks for the link. A lot of good information. I had asked about an overseas trip earlier in the year and didn’t get much of a response. Perfect year to have the trip with all the newcomers. Maybe it is just about how bad the team was last year and wanting to turn the page on that debacle — plus all the unknown — but I’m genuinely more excited about seeing how this team looks than I have been in awhile.

Thanks for the link, and HOW do I change the link "name?" I hate having to inbed the whole damn link name instead of a shorter caption. I knew how, at one time. Thank you. Leb

I certainly hope this trip goes better than the last one. The trauma witnessed by JaQuori during that trip ultimately caused him to leave the program 6 games into the season.

Leb I'm not sure how to change the link name on android. I don't do it when I'm on a phone. In windows you just go into advanced reply rather than quick reply and you can click on the little insert link icon (I think it looks like earth, I'm on my phone right now so I can't see it) and a pop-up will appear asking for the link and dialog... just make sure to delete the "http://" whatever already pre-filled before you paste in the link to the box, if you duplicate any of the code the link won't work.

Bad luck scheduling a trip to Barcelona during a terrorist attack. I believe that Arizona, Clemson, Oregon State and Tulane were all in the same hotel. Italy has not had the same issues with terrorism that Spain has had for whatever reason. A lot of similarities, though. Last trip came after the dismal 2016-17 campaign. The games in Spain were the first game experience for both Zach Reichle and Ethan Thompson. And those two were the cornerstones for the eventual 2021 Elite Eight run.

Thanks for sharing this article. While it is full of the standard "Tinkle-isms", it also seems to reveal a more direct-speaking coach, willing to admit we lost the culture without throwing anyone under the bus. And willing to (forced to?) make coaching staff changes as well. From the amount of roster turnover, either much of the previous team contributed to that loss of culture, or was so disenchanted by the loss of culture or the prospects of the cultural rebuild that they departed. Will be interesting to see how the new adds do, and agree that this Italy trip couldn't come at a better time for rebuilding the culture, and figuring out what we have by way of talent without this discovery occurring in counting games. That said, it will take some early season success (where success is competitive games with a discernable game plan and rotation, mind you, for any W-L aspirations I might have were thoroughly beaten out of me by last season's laying of an egg) for me to start watching MBB with any sort of passion. Maybe we can catch a glimpse of some of the games in Italy? I think we were able to see some of the action when the women went to Europe this last time around.....
Go Beavers!

Is there anyone from last year's team still on the roster? Glenn Taylor Jr. who was voted to the PAC-12 freshman team. Rodrigue Andela comes back from missing most of last year because of injury. There’s a couple others as well but they didn’t play much or at all. They are all talked about in the article linked in the original post.

Is there anyone from last year's team still on the roster? Dexter Akanno, Rodrigue Andela, Isaiah Johnson, and Glenn Taylor, Jr. are the only players who played last year, who are playing this upcoming year. Akanno started most of the games. Taylor started 12 games. Andela started most the games that he was healthy before, I believe, breaking a bone in his left foot in practice around the time of the Penn State game. Andela's injury and Chol never qualifying academically are reasons number one and two that 2021-22 were so bad. Johnson played in 15 games.
