So we get the preseason #6. Also in the tourney is the preseason #1, 2, 15,16, 21, 22, 25. And that doesn't include some typically powerhouses in that list in Purdue, Villanova and Michigan State.
Feels like PK has successfully moved the Great Alaska Shootout to P-town; great opportunity for basketball fans in the PNW.

Great opportunity to play some top teams with us having basically a home court advantage. Thanks Uncle Phil!

Considering Duke plays 1-2 nonconference road games a year, what amounts to a home game against them is quite the coup!

After the Beavers win this tournament the rest of the schedule really doesn't matter...Plenty of bragging rights.

Great opportunity to play some top teams with us having basically a home court advantage. Thanks Uncle Phil! I read somewhere that Duke hasn't played a true road non conference game in 5 of the last like10 seasons, and 2 of those five seasons they only played on the road because of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and were assigned to play those games.

There will likely be more duke fans than beaver fans at the beav "home" game.

Bummer though, thanksgiving and the Civil War weekend? Looks like the tournament will be on hold on Saturday for the Civil War football game.

Since December 29, 2010, Duke has played five true road games, all five in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Outside of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge games, Duke's last true nonconference road game was on December 29, 2010, against UNC Greensboro, about 53 miles West of Duke. Outside of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge games, Duke's last true nonconference road game that was outside of the State of North Carolina was on January 30, 2010, against Georgetown, about 262 miles NNE of Duke. Outside of ACC-Big Ten Challenge games, Duke's last true nonconference road game that was off of Tobacco Road was on December 6, 2008, against Michigan, about 641 miles NNE of Duke. Outside of ACC-Big Ten Challenge games, the last time that Duke went West of Ann Arbor for a true nonconference road game was February 23, 1997, when they flew across the country to get beat by UCLA in Pauley Pavilion.
