The Beaver recruiting machine continues to hum right into 2026 with the addition of Blake Bowen from Riverside, CA. Bowen is 14 1/2 years old and already has the gift of size and athleticism that is on display on the gridiron and the diamond. At 6-1, 186 and excellent speed, Blake is a multi-sport, multi-tooled athlete. Exceptionally strong for his age, he hits and hits with power. He graduated from the 8th grade in June.
Bowen plays travel ball with the powerful Canes-West Team 14u out of Rancho Murrieta. He is undecided on where he will attend high school but will likely enroll at Riverside's MLK high school (D.J. Carpenter's school) . Blake has played in the OF, 3B and pitched. He is skilled at several positions and is listed by some as a "Utility" player. His fastball reaches 88 mph.
Bowen is also a star WR/DB on the Orange Glenn Youth Football Team. It is unknown if will continue his football career in high school.
Bowen is ranked by Rawlings-Perfect Game as the 40th best prospect in the nation in his class and the 7th best prospect in the state of California.
BANG !!!

Thanks for the info, Chin. The player hasn’t chosen a high school yet, but he has chosen a college. Got a little chuckle out of that item.

I'm not certain who is recruiting out east in the Riverside area (maybe MC himself), but Bowen is the second headliner we have pulled from that area. A few months ago, we landed Ryan Holmes from Paloma Valley in the 2025 class. Some baseball chatter on twitter had coaches and instructors wondering how the soCal schools ever let him get out of California.
