I can’t YET find anything. Another forum mentioned it. Hope not.

I hope for the best for Jake. But, honestly, he wasn't great for us.

I hope for the best for Jake. But, honestly, he wasn't great for us. Derne seems locked in at short, and Gretler seems like he should have started all year at third. If Guerra comes close to meeting potential, I don't know where Dukart plays. Outfield? I'm guessing that at least one of the infielders gets moved somewhere else just to give everyone a spot to play already.

Jake had 3 years to prove he was more than a bench player. He didn’t do that. Best of luck to him, but we have better players coming.

Jake has been in the program for 4 years. I believe that he just got his degree. Maybe he is moving on to get a Masters Degree and play 1 more year with getting some of his schooling paid for at the same time, just like Claunch. I do agree his playing time might be limited at OSU this next year, but he came around toward the end of the season imho.

Why would he abandon the team if not for more schooling? I think Jake is close, and playing on another team full time might give him the time he needs in order to develop the consistency that he needs at the plate. Always liked Jake. Wish him well, if he leaves. Hope little brother can fill his shoes and then some.

I think if they both shortened up their swings, they might have more success.

Remembering one game where he K'd at least 4 times (IIRC) and never touched the ball. Looked way over matched. Maybe I missed the good stuff, he looks like a player?? Really don't have much to judge by except the one game, which was beyond NOT GOOD ??

Pretty good for the program, if you ask me.

Don't throw him under the bus yet. Thomas does need to improve with the bat over the extremely limited opportunities this year, but the extremely limited is the key aspect. The guy can fly on the bases, and he is a serious glove in the outfield. Watching practices, one comes away saying Thomas has the “wow” factor with the glove.
