DAMN. I don’t normally (ever) mention personal info about myself, but I THOUGHT I had made it through the covid era unscathed (physically). Vaxxed, boosted, masked until these past few months. No problem. Now… problem. I contracted the crap five days ago. Wife and daughter, first. WTF? I feel violated. It’s a bit surreal. None of us are/were ill (fatigue, slight cough, slight headache), but we still quarantined away from every damn thing for five days….. this my last. Will go back to work tomorrow. Is this EVER going away? Will this NOW become a regular part of life like the common cold, flu, etc? Thought I was invincible. Thank God this variant isn’t TOO deadly for most. Y’all take care.

From what I read in medical periodicals, the natural immunity wanes/weakens after 90 days. I may get the NEXT booster pretty damn quickly. It appears to offer some ADDITIONAL protection. I dunno. I’m a healthy 64 year old with no preexisting issues…… and I want to STAY that way.

My retired RN mother has suggested to me a daily regimen of Vitamin D3 and Zinc pills every morning for immune defense which I have done for a while now ... fingers crossed I haven't caught the crud yet but I don't usually get sick very often (don't even remember the last cold I caught it has been a few years I guess) ... have got both shots but not the booster yet.

I've been taking a really good Multi for YEARS. Contains quite a bit of D3 (over 500 IU) and zinc (11 MG). Sometimes I WONDER if the suppliments do us any good at all. Sometimes. |

Waste Water Survielance suggests that covid is pretty rampant right now. Like others said this variant is very contagious but just not all that severe.
