For those keeping score at home:
2004 No Tournament
2005 College World Series. Eliminated by the four-seed.
2006 National Champions.
2007 The three-seed in the Regional with Oregon State (the effective #16 overall seed Regional) won the Regional, won game one of the Super Regional by a run and won the Super Regional by holding the opponents to two runs. The Super Regional winner swept the three games into the National Championship Series. There, the three-seed won game one by holding the opponent to four runs and won the National Championship the next day.
2008 No Tournament.
2009 Lost the Fort Worth Regional. Game four wound being the final game, a 5-4 loss. TCU lost the road Super Regional to Texas. Texas lost the National Championship Series to LSU.
2010 Eliminated (at least in part) by the most Southeastern SEC team (Florida). Florida won the Gainesville Super Regional Championship Game 4-3.
2016 No Tournament
2017 College World Series. Eliminated by the four-seed.
2018 National Champions.
2019 The three-seed in the Regional with Oregon State (the #16 overall seed Regional) won the Regional, won game one of the Super Regional by a run and won the Super Regional by holding the opponents to two runs. The Super Regional winner swept the three games into the National Championship Series. There, the three-seed won game one by holding the opponent to four runs but then lost the next two.
2020 No Tournament.
2021 Lost the Fort Worth Regional. Game four was a 5-4 win. Oregon State still lost game five 8-5. Dallas Baptist lost the road Super Regional to Virginia. Weirdly, Virginia lost to Texas at Omaha. Texas lost to Mississippi State, who won a National Championship.
2022 Eliminated by the second-most Southeastern SEC team (Auburn). Auburn won the Corvallis Super Regional Championship Game 4-3.
In 2010, Oregon State lost to #3 overall Florida, which won the Gainesville Regional and Gainesville Super Regional to go to Omaha. Florida went 2 & Q at Omaha. The winner of that side of the bracket was the California Pac-10 team, #6 overall UCLA. The winner of the other side of the bracket was the SEC team, South Carolina, who lost the first game to Oklahoma (Oklahoma's last appearance at Omaha was 2010). The Gamecocks then stole a page from the script that the Beavers wrote in 2006 and beat Arizona State, Oklahoma in the rematch (by one in extras!) and then beat their in-state rivals 5-1 and 4-3 to punch a ticket to the National Championship Series, where they swept the National Seed Pac-10 team, winning the National Championship in extras.
I suppose that if 2022 turns out like 2010, Texas A&M will be your National Champions, beating Stanford in two games. Oklahoma will beat Texas A&M. Texas A&M will beat Notre Dame and then Oklahoma in the losers' bracket. And then the Aggies will beat the Longhorns twice in the semifinals. On the other side, Ole Miss and Stanford will both win. Arkansas will eliminate Auburn. Then Ole Miss will beat Arkansas to set up the semifinal with Stanford, which the Cardinal will win.
Anyway, now that you know what will happen, there is absolutely no need to watch the thing.
