And unless we could play two catchers at the same time, had both come to OSU in 2020 and 2021 one of them would have sat, been a DH, or found another position. Not sure Claunch could play anywhere else, IDK about Susac. I am not sure that Susac would have been ready to go his first year. It would have been helpful to have a Claunch to bring Susac along. Claunch played some first base at Oregon State. I don't know enough about Susac to know, if he could have played anywhere else but first. He was definitely “ready to go.” LOL. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out, as my father used to say.

MSU had a 6.07 ERA and 0.260 batting average against OSU had a 4.19 ERA and 0.246 batting average against MSU? A&M has a 4.68 ERA and .262 BAA. OSU has a 4.19 ERA and .246 BAA. Three years ago (Nate Yeskie's last year at Oregon State), OSU had a 3.02 ERA and .230 BAA. 4.19 ERA is the highest at Oregon State since 2008 (last year before Yeskie). 4.19 ERA at Oregon State means that something is seriously wrong. A lot people point to injuries. But there were injuries in 2016 and 2019, and you never saw a 4.19 ERA. My bad. I for one am not sad that Nate left. I don't think he would end of staying long term as I believe that Mitch will stay for 25 years. Just my opinion... There were a lot of injuries during Yeskie's years. Are they partly him or HS coaches over using those dudes before they arrived? or a combination of both? We will never know the answer to those questions.
