In the 6th inning when Auburn's Sonny Dichiara scored on the bobble/error to make it 3-1, where our runner was ruled out at first then changed to safe on review, your coach came out to talk to the umpire about something. Then the umps conferred and after a brief talk, the head ump looked at Canham and shook his head. But the TV crew didn't seem to know what it was about and I never saw it mentioned again. Did your coach say or did your radio crew know what his question to the ump was about?

I was never able to figure that out, either. Anyone know?

Word in the stands on the 3b line is the Third Base Coach may have touched the runner to help him get back on his feet or go back to the bag.
The umps apparently didn't see it and we concluded it must not be reviewable.
This is 100% hearsay and past down via 3 or 4 fans... so it may have been... you guys know where to have dinner tonight that turned into this thought.
That fact that Sunny D did score and we lost by one run... it may have had an impact on the game but I'm not surprised it isn't re-viewable or they may have missed it with everything that was going on during that play.
All water under the bridge now.

To titantiger: You were great fans. I've been to Mississippi State for baseball. Would love for Beavs to schedule a 3 game series in Auburn. I hope ya'll adjusted to the humidity out here. . It was fun watching two good teams battle it out. Losing two starting pitchers before the season started hurt our pitching depth. Best of luck at CWS...wish there was a way for both of us to be there!

I was sitting by first base and had a great view of third. This was absolutely interference by the base coach. There was definitely contact (looked like they were in a bear hug) and I’m not sure what the third base ump was looking at that caused him to miss it sense it was right in front of him. Maybe he was hoping nobody saw it and he didn’t want to be that guy to make such a call. This should have been an out and could have changed the outcome of the game. That being said going 0-10 with RISP and having our 5-8 hitters go 1 for 16 was probably a bigger issue. Play clean defensively and get just one more clutch hit and we move on. Last nights loss will sting for a while but time to move on and focus on next year. Go BEAVS!

He told me this morning on the phone that they saw it and were yelling at the ump. Que Sera, Sera! MB.
