It was a really exciting series. You guys have a great atmosphere and I'm proud of my Tigers because we didn't back into this through some easy path. Having to play y'all in Corvallis, we had to beat a damn good ballclub to get to the CWS. Excellent pitching and defense, and some dudes who can wallop the ball. I can see why you've won 3 national titles in the last 15 years.
Anyway, I don't know how often we'll get to play you guys again in the future but I wanted to come by and say this. You have something really good going on up there.

It was a great series, and what makes college baseball so great. Probably shouldn't have let y'all wear orange in Goss in a deciding game!

Gotta also say, I am so jealous of those temperatures up there. Temps in the upper 50s/low 60s vs what Alabama has been like this week. Mid to upper 90s with stifling humidity. Like breathing through a wet rag when you walk outside. Someone described it as Satan's armpit crossed with a dog's mouth.
Enjoy it, Oregonians.

Thanks for the kind remarks! And GL in Omaha! Auburn has earned my respect for sure, and a program on the rise.
Our weather......well, huddled up in a rain parka from March, thru May, and into June.....it can suck! But, I'll take it over uncomfortable humidity.

Yea thats gross. When I went to Omaha in '17, I was NOT prepared for the heat, and humidity.....it is stifling. I don't know how folks in the south and Midwest do it! But, I spose your body adapts.....we had a thunderstorm roll thru in Omaha and the temp dropped like 25 degrees and all the locals were cold and wearing hoodies.....my dad and I were like "we can finally breath!"

Glad you had a good time and that you were treated well. It's hard, but most fans are usually very respectful (there's always a token few that aren't, but that's everywhere). Watching this series and seeing how your team was smashing the ball in your regional, I was going, "OH BOY, whoever wins this Super should go far in the CWS." Best of Luck to you! I've been fortunate enough to go to one SEC game at LSU. They were very respectful. Essentially, if you know baseball and aren't a jerk, you're good.

It would be fun to have a H & H OOC series. We went to Mississippi State several years ago and those who attended said they had a great time.
Sorry you guys missed out on a typical sunny, 75ish Oregon early June. And too bad there weren't a lot of hotel rooms in town so you could have done some exploring, eating and drinking in our little slice of paradise.
Your team and coach acted with class throughout, as did the fans I met and interacted with. Good luck in Omaha!

I agree, if it's at all feasible it would be great to do a home and home with OSU. You guys run a class program up there.

To titantiger: You were great fans. I've been to Mississippi State for baseball. Would love for Beavs to schedule a 3 game series in Auburn. I hope ya'll adjusted to the humidity out here . It was fun watching two good teams battle it out. Losing two starting pitchers before the season started hurt our pitching depth...but injuries are part of the game! Best of luck at CWS...wish there was a way for both of us to be there!

Beaver fans = Tiger fans. At least when it came to the 2010 BCS championship game. In fact, we may have been bigger Tiger fans that day than actual Tiger fans.
Nice looking jerseys last night btw. Butch Thompson seems like a very likeable guy as did the players for that matter. I think it would be very enjoyable to meet Sonny D at a steak house. He clearly brings some charisma and spark to your dugout and looks to have a special personality.

Gross. Great series. Wrong team won. Oh well. I am hopefully speaking for everyone here, when I say, "Congratulations! Now go beat Arkansas!"

Thanks for the kudos……it was a hard fought series with either team having a good chance of prevailing. That Sonny guy was the difference in Game 3. No Sonny no Omaha. Weather has been unseasonably cooler and wetter this year but I’ll take it compared to what y’all got going in Alabama. Good luck in Omaha…..Stanford will be a tough out
