I'm a fan for sure but not nearly as invested as many. Just came to know that Bazzana is from Australia. That's gotta be some fun banter in the clubhouse and more. Wonder if him and softball pitcher Tarni Stepto have some fun discussing America.

Based on his numbers this year and his position I'm guessing there's a 50-50 chance he is a top 10 pick in the 2024 draft.

As far as TV commentary goes - Bazzana being from Australia and Melton being "reigning P12 POY" are approaching "Adley played football and once tackled McCaffrey" territory.

He is also now not going to the Cape Cod league which was to be his assignment. He should be a Beaver for three seasons.

Bazzana was born on August 28th, so even if there were a 30-day rule, it probably will not apply. It is my understanding that the draft is being held a week late, because of the lock-out. Is that right? If so, I think that the draft will be the week before and any 45-day rule would also not apply. Anyway. All that to say that I don't know.

I would assume no cape because he played a full season of college ball and that takes alot out of you. Especially when you're a freshman and have never done it before. So rest for the summer and rebuilding the body back up is more important for him.
As far as the draft if he turns 21 within the 45 days of draft he will be eligible next year. All graduating high school seniors are eligible regardless of age

I guess I just don't see it! First team PAC 12 and Freshman All-American. I should be sold on him, but I'm not, He seems to have a hard time hitting LH Pitchers and is constantly taking strike threes. His low .300 Avg is nothing to be excited about. His fielding is suspect too. I really want to be sold on him and I hope I'm wrong,

Larnach, Rutsch, and Kwan among others were dudes who really struggled at the beginning of their careers, but obviously had the underlying talent that eventually made them superstars. Not sure if we'll see the same out of Bazzana, but he's light years ahead of those 3 Beaver great's frosh seasons.

All graduating high school seniors are eligible regardless of age 45 days before Bazzana's birthday is July 14. They moved the draft to be the same weekend as the All-Star Game. But isn't the All-Star Game late this year, because of the lockout? Won't the All-Star game be on July 11th next year, and won't the draft be July 9-11 next year? I am just curious. I am assuming that the All-Star Game moves back and the draft with it next year. I don't think that anything is definitive yet. But let me know, if I am wrong.
