Beavs need to bring it tonight and tomorrow...even though both teams are seeded...Time for some favorites to advance In Omaha there will only be 1, 2 or 3 of the top 8 seeded teams. In Omaha there will only be 2, 3 or 4 of the top 16 seeded teams.

The big SEC teams have heavily home schedules and play pretty weak OTC. I don't think many of them have been truly tested. Most of the unseeded teams are going to have to battle all season and through a conference tourney to even get a shot in the playoffs. They are resilient.

Pac12 tournament did not help us nor did it help ucla. That 25-22 game in oarticular. unpopular opinion warning - I think in a way, it really did. tournament environment, compact schedule, must win games (our fans said it was meaningless, but it sure seemed meaningful to the players). And we used pitchers in high leverage situations during the tourney rather than waiting for postseason to throw them in the deep end of the pool. It's 99 right now in Omaha, so I'd say our guys got a little acclimated...

Not sure how the tournament hurt us. We won our regional and are in a Super Regional final.

That seem relatively not humid compared to '17 and '18

if Uconn and the Beavs win, I think this is going to be the broadest representation of conferences that I have seen reaching the Series.

if Uconn and the Beavs win, I think this is going to be the broadest representation of conferences that I have seen reaching the Series. If UConn and Oregon State had won, five conferences would have been represented, the most since 2017. 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012-2014 also had five. Six conferences in 2016. 1993, 2000, 2002, 2007 and 2009 also had six. 1996, 1998, and 2004 had four conferences and an independent (Miami). 1994 and 2001 had five conferences and an independent (Miami). 1995, 1999, and 2003 had six conferences and an independent (Miami). 1992 had seven conferences and an independent (Miami). Miami never joined the Big East in baseball. Miami joined the ACC in 2005. Miami first played in Omaha after joining the ACC in 2006, first game against Oregon State. So, 2017. Five is not really noteworthy. Neither really is six. Seven, though has not happened since 2003 or 1992, depending upon how you mean.
