Shame to see all these teams knocking themselves out as they advance.
So far I have seen dog piles from…
Notre Dame Arkansas
Who else you guys see. Giving themselves the kids of death?

Watching the dog pile reminds me of 2018 and how sure Arkansas was they would win it all. I just went back to one of my favorite bookmarks to amuse myself and watched Rally Chip again. He is a razorback fan doing a remote tv broadcast from outside of the stadium.

I mean, 2 outs up by 1 in the 9th. Yeah, anything can happen, but it was pretty improbable. And their guy was on the mound....Cronin. We hadn't scored since the 5th and we looked kinda anemic. They were handling us. If you put yourself in their shoes, it's really hard to watch. Luckily, I wear Orange shoes.

He is a razorback fan doing a remote tv broadcast from outside of the stadium My favorite part is when the dude jinxes Arkansas, "You gotta like Matt Cronin's chances to get out of the inning." Almost instantly, Larnach's home run. Great to watch. Then, there is the stereotypical Washington fan. The interview of the first Arkansas player is pure gold, too. "I think that everybody's still got their head up in the air." That is close to two truisms but is neither. Then, they try and and throw Blaine Knight a softball and ask about the third game. And Knight gets confused and defensive and starts talking about game two, "In reality, the games aren't supposed to go like they were hoping it was supposed to or everyone else was." You watched those two interviews, and you were like Oregon State just broke Arkansas.

Made the comment to my wife, as we saw dog piles happening at the various supers......"there's only one dog pile". And to quote Walter Sobchek "buncha f%#*in amateurs!!"
That said, I did quite enjoy ND's dog pile. That was well earned, and we'll enjoyed by everyone not tied to Tennessee.

You watched those two interviews, and you were like Oregon State just broke Arkansas. They were saying the right things on camera, but they were really hurting behind that façade. It was funny, because they thought that they were saying the right things, but it was a bunch of nonsense, because they were broken. "I think everybody's still got their chin up" or "I think that everybody' still got their head in the game" could be two of the truisms that the first interviewee was trying to get to, but he was so broken, it did not come out like that. Knight's a smart guy, but he basically said that Arkansas was destined to lose, which was true, but that is definitely not what he was trying to say. Their body language both got the point across that they were trying to make. But their actual language showed what was going on in their heads. If I were Arkansas' head coach, I would have closed the locker-room to the media. Give everyone the night to get their heads right.
