Beaver commit RHP didn't make it through the 1st pulled .2 in. The opposing pitcher for La Grande is putting on a show. Through 5 has 9 SO's and no BB. Just hit a home run to put an exclamation point on. Guessing he'll be back on mound in B6 to close it out with a chance to go the distance given a comfortable 10-1 lead.
6'2 155lb and doesn't appear to have committed anywhere yet. Lists OSU as his top college, just sayin.
Edit: games at Volcano stadium and it takes a shot to jack one out of that park. As I type he picks up SO #10.

Through 6 and on to 7th. 11 SO's now and still no BB's. Pitch counts at 101, will be interesting to see if he gets a chance to finish in B7

If he can't get to OSU right away, LBCC is a great option. A pipeline from Albany to Corvallis.

Guessing you mean Devin Bell from La Grande? Interesting. I watched some tape on him a while back, didn't exactly throw gas and his offspeed stuff wasn't eye popping. But if effective, that's cool. And it was a year ago, maybe a late bloomer. As Henry said, could be an LBCC situation to see how he develops.
Surprised Hill got knocked out so quick, dude looks pretty good.

LaGrande roughed up 3 Hidden Valley pitchers - Hidden Valley had lost only to Henley in the last two years.
Isaac Hill went 2/3, allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, 2BB and 2 K's. Nate Vidlak went 3 2/3 and gave up 7 runs on 7 hits, 2BB and 4 K's Noah Stone went 2 2/3 and allowed 1 run on 2 hits, 2BB and 3 K's.
Isaac Hill was only 1 out away from having a rocky 2-run first inning. Hardly enough reason to pull him after his career at HVHS. Injured?
Lagrande has to have some sticks in their lineup.
Santiam Christian and Ely Kennel was waxed 10-2 in their 2A final.

Jace Schow was the pitcher for La Grande.

Wasn't Devin Bell 6'4 175 SS, who rated 25th best prospect in state for class of 2022. The La Grande pitcher, as joecool posted, was Jace Schow class of 2023. Whatever he was throwing yesterday, it was very effective against a team who isn't used to being shut down like that.

If he can get his FB consistently in the 85-88 range as he fills out he could be very "Gundy like". Project/LBCC... worth looking to see development. Smaller schools can have surprising talent pop up. Watched 2A champ JFK vs Toutle Lake WA earlier... they have two arms that throw in the 90's (Zach Swanson, OSU commit 2024) and top 3 round projection /uck commit, Jackson Cox hits 90+ consistently with a great slider. The younger Cox is a C/P and as a soph is very talented.

I subbed at HVHS today and know several boys on the baseball team. Two factors hurt them. Not being totally mentally ready as they should have been. Secondly Hill injured his pitching arm in the 2nd inning. I asked no questions, one volunteered they are going to get his elbow checked. Nothing more was said except the kids said it was a sad way to end a season.

RE: Hill. That does not sound encouraging.

RE: Hill. That does not sound encouraging. I read a thing that late high school is kinda the best time? Then they can get surgery, rehab and training in a college or pro system that does it all correctly.
