After Casey retired I thought for sure we'd sink back into mediocrity and the fact we are in a super 4 years later is amazing.
To those in the know; how many current players are Casey recruits if any.
*understand all recruits are PC's.

We are spoiled for sure. Being an elite program, especially at a place like OSU, often doesn’t continue across coaching changes.

Bazzana also gives a lot of the credit to him being here to Pat Bailey.

Regardless of who recruited who, making a super regional gives incredible street cred to Canham in future recruiting. That was always the biggest strike against him: a recruit signing with OSU after Casey left meant taking a bit of a flyer that this new unknown coach knew what the hell he was doing.
Now Mitch isn't limited anymore to just selling the overall program and our past success that was achieved by somebody else; he can walk into homes wearing those two rings, and rightfully say that the train is still rolling under his leadership, as strong as ever.
And things will really be rolling if we can make it to Omaha...

I was pretty confident. We were high profile with the '17/'18 teams fresh in kids memories. Canham is a great leader of men, just like Casey. Plus, he has great assistants in tow......all that combined shows in our recruiting classes, which have taken an uptick since Casey retired. The program is in good hands.

I have a picture of the Forrester brothers standing in front of Goss from 2009-2010. Dressed in full Beaver gear. Sometimes the program is the recruiter. Would post the picture, but as always I have no clue.

OSU finished the 2019 season losing 10 of the last 15 games and then went 5-9 in the abbreviated 2020 season. My crystal ball two years ago did not foresee a #3 national seed in 2022.
