Looking to see if anyone has a link to today's post game press conference. Would like to hear what the guys had to say. Gutted out the win today. We made it a little harder than it had to be. An ugly W still goes in the column though.

So we've competed in 7 Super Regionals up till now and have won 3 national championships. Love that ratio. Let's make it 2:1.

Oregon State has competed in 6 Corvallis Regionals and won every one of them: 12 wins and 2 losses. 6 Corvallis Super Regionals and 6 trips to Omaha. Let's make it lucky number seven for seven! We can worry about Omaha, once we get there.

Hate to bring up bad memories but what happened in 2014? But that was a regional not a super regional😀 "We crossed that barrier last weekend."

Hate to bring up bad memories but what happened in 2014? UC Irvine was a very good team, stumbled a bit at the end of the regular season and was dropped to a #3 seed. They were really underseeded, should have been a 2 or a higher 3, had that happened they never would have been sent to Corvallis. We didn't play well near the end of the season, Wetzler's arrest and suspension seemed to mess up the team chemistry. Conforto got into a massive slump and leadoff guy Andy Petersen slumped in the regional too. After UCI beat us in Game 2, we won two more but just ran out of pitching. Wetzler won and then Scott Shultz beat UCI to force a second championship game on a Monday night. Jake Thompson started Game 5, he did OK, but we didn't hit enough to support him. UCI had a soft-throwing lefty named Elliot Surrey who beat us in Game 2 and then saved Game 5. He was a very good pitcher for the Knights the previous summer and was very used to the stadium. We hit a number of 390-foot fly balls that died in deep center. We had runners on first and second with one out in the ninth. Caleb Hamilton hit a soft grounder that became a game-ending 6-4-3 DP that included a neighborhood play at 2nd base, the 2B was a step past the bag when he caught the SS's feed and made the relay to first. Had that play happened today, the runner would have been safe on replay and we would have had one more chance to tie, with runners on second and third and two out. UCI destroyed Oklahoma State in the Supers and went 1-2 at the CWS.

UCI destroyed Oklahoma State in the Supers and went 1-2 at the CWS. Irvine's head coach was Mike Gillespie, who coached at USC for 20 years, resigning after the 2006 season. At Omaha, Irvine beat Texas. Down 2-0 in the winners' bracket game against Vanderbilt, Irvine scored four runs on Tyler Beede, who was the 14th overall selection in the 2014 MLB Draft, in the second inning. After Irvine put two on with two out, Beede was replaced by Walker Buehler, who pitched 5.1 innings of no-hit baseball. Irvine led 4-2 into the fifth but Surrey gave up 2B, 1B, RBI groundout, 2B, BB and HBP. Surrey was pulled. Evan Brock gave up one on a sac fly but shut down Vanderbilt into the seventh. The Commodores then tacked on another run on 2B, WP and 1B for a 6-4 win. Vanderbilt won the National Championship in 2014. Buehler was the 24th overall selection in the 2015 MLB Draft. He is a two-time MLB All-Star and World Series Champion and was the biggest part (6 IP) of the Dodgers' first combined no-hitter in franchise history. Irvine was just a play or two short of advancing to the semifinal against Texas or Vanderbilt and instead went 1-2.
