Yes, Anderson. A great piece of the 2017-18 team but no way he plays OF on this team.
Armstrong was an above-average player and a great team guy too.

I don't the talent gap is that big. And this year's talent hasn't finished writing it's story. Hopefully there's more to the story after today. Hjerpe and Melton are consensus 1st rounders. Boyd is an absolute beast. Bazzana, Logan, Forrester, Meckler......and a pretty deep pitching staff......I think what maybe put the 17/18 teams over the top was Gretler the elder at 3rd. The '22 team has never been able to get consistency at 3rd, or at SS for that matter, in the batting order....if only Guerra and Trosky were a bit further along! Crazy talk! Not trying to be argumentative, but this team is in no way the caliber of those two teams. Although it doesn't matter as those guys are long gone... Excluding the obvious outcomes of CWS/Titles the overall talent doesn't compare. Those team would dominate this current squad. Although 20/20 hindsight there are not (4-5) MLB level players on this squad. Melton is by no means a "consensus" 1st rounder... certain mocks have him dropped out of the top 62. With all the college and HS OF available I do not see (and several scouts) a team risking big $ and early selection on a player with glaring holes in his game. That said there is not a player on the current roster that could equal those mentioned in their college careers. Even if you say the top 4-5 in '22 vs these guys was close (it's not) that would mean the other 4-5 starters would have to be at the level of the other 2017/18 regulars. Fuchs, Trotsky, Gretler, Dukart, Derneede vs let's say ("other" key regulars): '17... KJ, Anderson, M Gretler, Donahue... NOPE, take 2017 every time '18... M Gretler, Nobach, Malone, Taylor, Anderson, Armstrong... NOPE, take 2018 every time. A couple of those guys are EXACTLY what this team is missing. Not only not at the same talent level overall, but not at the same "big/key moment" level. There's not the overall consistent fire in this '22 team. Sure when things are going well emotions flow. But 2017-2018, the team was always pumped, always super competitive and NEVER took plays off. My take anyway. Agree to disagree then I guess. This team may not be quite on the same level talent-wise, but they are not far off.....I mean overall, a better outfield, better first baseman, second base is a slight edge to Madrigal over Bazzana, but as true freshman, Bazzana is special, and will only get better. Obv Rutsch is all-time at catcher but Logan has been one of our MVP's this season......and finding gems like Ferrer, and the resurgence of Verburg, stud freshman Kmatz, and obviously Hjerpe is right up there with any Friday night guy who's ever donned black and orange......I just think it's a bit insulting to these guys to essentially say they couldnt hold the '17/'18 guys jock straps.
