They look like verbal commitments right now, so it must be that time of year for recruiting. They are highlighted on the OSU Track & Field Twitter page. Looking forward to seeing more and hope the Beavs can pick up some more great athletes. The coaching staff seems to see a lot of good improvement with many of them. Teaghan Knox from Bend (Summit HS) and Ava McKee from Corvallis (CVHS) show some competitive times: Teaghan: 1500m @ 4:33.86, 800m @ 2:16.86
Ava: 400m @ 57.93, 800m @ 2:18.07
Probably more coming
Not sure of the signing day/deadline.

Here's one I didn't catch from the end of March/early April: Olivia Johnson, from Gresham Oregon, Grad Xfer from Boise State with 1 year eligibility. Just guessing that she'll be here next year since she transferred in the middle of this past season. Malia Pivec had a nice comment since they were teammates. We are also getting a hurdler from Weber State, Kate Sorenson, going for her MA in ag sciences or something. She holds the Whyte Center record in the 400 H.

She holds the Whyte Center record in the 400 H. 100 H - 13.73* 400 H - 57.46 200 m - 24.41 400 m - 54.63 * Looks like the Big Sky conf 100H are 30" or 33", or it could have been a mistake. She'll do well and has good potential to score at Pac-12 championships in the hurdles. Seems like a great athlete that will be able to contribute right away! |
