I'm on Bend Broadband.... I have the ESPN app on my phone and ipad.....ESPNU is not in the Bend Broadband line-up that I can see (just ESPN and ESPN2).
Any central Oregon folks out there with tips - for a sorta non-techie - on how to access ESPN-U, on my TV or streaming on any 'device' ?

I bet you could do the free trial and not have to pay anything. There is an app for iPads and IPhones as well as android and PC

Free trial is appealing, but on the other hand there's likely to be more games over the next 2 weeks that'll be 'beyond' ESPN / ESPN2.

Any central Oregon folks out there with tips - for a sorta non-techie - on how to access ESPN-U, on my TV or streaming on any 'device' ? Open the espn app on your ipad. On the bottom, click the PLAY button. Look through the lineup to see what’s on ESPNU. Choose it. Sign in with your Bend Broadband info and see if it let’s you watch. If it doesn’t, you’ll need a workaround, like signing up for a free trial or finding a way to pirate the feed. (If you go for the latter, I have to say it’s a lot easier to find ESPN feeds than Pac 12 feeds, but it will still require a bit of technical know-how.)

Thanks, when I try the first part of your suggestion, i.e. clicking on ESPNU for a live Colorado vs. North Carolina game (not sure what sport ??) it stops me at: "This network is not part of the BendBroadband2Go offering at this time". I'm considering Sling.

Do you have a relative that has either a cable subscription or Dish Network account? You could ask for their log in name and password. Then log into the app using their account.

That assumes you won't miss 2/3 of the Beaver game because ESPN preempts the Beavs with some endless, meaningless MLB game.

Or a kid living on campus. Their info will get you a lot of channels. It’s how, in the past, I could get the Pac 12 Network games.

I think Sling discontinued their free trial but did offer 1/2 off your first month making it something like $17.50 for the month. YouTube TV I believe has a free trial that will give you a week.
We recently dumped our Bend Broadband TV that we were paying for but not using (long story). Up until a few months ago they required a TV subscription to get highspeed no data limit internet. With recent changes we get "gig speed" internet with no limits and no TV requirement for $99. We use YouTube TV for all television at $65/mth ($55 offer through T-mobile if you have it), and we love YouTube TV except no Pac12 Network.

In reply to Beavcat - The $17.50 Sling deal doesn't appear to include ESPNU. I tried to see how much the sports package cost, but it required me to log in and I don't have an account.
On another topic, you can't get Blazer games on YouTube TV can you?

According to a website I just checked, Hulu plus (live TV) offers a 30 day free trial. Hulu+ carries ESPN and ESPNU as well as some of the other ESPN channels in the event that the game starts on ESPNews or the like.
It might be an easy fix.
Do NOT subscribe to ESPN+. They say on their website that ESPN+ does not allow access to their live broadcasts on ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN2....Kind of counterintuitive, if you ask me.

Yeah, I have ESPN+ and definitely do not get to watch the ESPNU feed. But Hulu is part of the same bundle deal, and I have not really used that much. I will have to check it out. Thanks for the tip!
