Looks to me like the success and the grind of our 2022 season has gained us a couple of things. 1) a first round regional opponent with an RPI of 140 and 269. 2) Home field advantage clear to Omaha. Based on every projection out there, we will have a team in our regional that will be an "oh no" moment when announced this morning. One of the tactical questions Mitch and staff will have to answer in the next few days is weather or not to save Hjerpe for game two.

I’d be lying if I said the Beavs are “peaking” at the right time, obviously. Would rather have had them struggle a bit earlier in the season. Our fielding percentage drop, and pitching woes have us all concerned. Being back home in Corvallis will HOPEFULLY recharge the batteries. Kids played hard, but tired, and seemingly and uncharacteristically non-confident. We’ll see if we can get that MOJO back. Go Beavs! Get to Omaha, and everything else is gravy. (Just my feelings… winning it all would be GREAT…..).

If any team has been tested by the last month of the season, it's us; 13 of our final 16 games were against NCAA-tournament teams (4 uo, 3 UA, 1 Stanford, 5 UCLA).
Nine of those were on the road or at a neutral site (@ uo, 3 @ UA, 5 @ Pac-12s), and 11 of them were in pretty tough weather conditions (Oregon home series, @ Arizona, @ Pac-12 tournament). If we are not ready now, we never will be.

Oregon State, UCLA and Furd all look like they are well placed for a super.
Oregon looks like it has a decent shot.
Arizona is going to have to ball their asses off.

Which would mean an OSU vs UCLA Super It could happen. If we win our Regional we'll play one of these 4 teams. 1) Auburn (SEC) 2) UCLA (PAC12) 3) Florida St (ACC) 4) Southeastern La. (Southland)

Somebody on the selection committee must have a sadistic sense of humor. So I can sort of understand pairing two Pac teams in the same super-region, even though we only have 5 teams to spread around 8 games; hell, it's been worse in years past, and we should probably be thankful we aren't limited to just 2 or 3 potential Pac teams in the CWS like has happened before.
But to pick THESE two teams to potentially pair up? OSU and UCLA? Either there's some masochistic tendencies on that committee, or they were completely oblivious to what went down in our conference tournament (probably the latter, but still...).
Seriously, literally ANY of the other teams pairing up would make much more sense, and not drive both fanbases bonkers in frustration at having to face each other yet again.
All I gotta say is, go Auburn...

Convenient that all the quality pac12 teams ended up on the opposite side of the bracket from Tennessee (uo is the only pac2 team on that side). The only way they hookup with any of these teams is in the championship series.
