Terrible strike two, calling it a swing. Not even close.

Kmatz at 84 pitches. Decision time(s) just around the corner. He hasn't gone over 91 pitches this season - and lately in the 70's & 80's Id lean on him. Keeping Ferrer out would be a big win in this one. Kmatz is pitching well and it would be a confidence feather in his cap to go 6 when we need it bad.

Terrible strike two, calling it a swing. Not even close. My wife agreed. She threw a used tissue on the floor like a heathen. Sick and watching baseball all day seems to have made her grumpy.

Beavers got so lucky there on the safety squeeze pretty hard to execute on concrete.

The only caveat is the ol' late freshman season 'deal', for pitchers that were mere high schoolers 12 months ago.

Was at the local public house watching earlier in this game (on mute of course) and it appeared that the announcers talked with Canham about the “balk.” What was said? I still don’t see how that was called unless it was something that happened before stepping off.

Mitch basically said there wasn’t much he could do since they were in an umpire review and you get in big trouble. He basically said Brown did it out of order so technically it was covered but also said that he and a bunch of others saw him step off so it was dumb.

Kmatz having a real nice game. About on his era, average freebies, low hits and 6K (season high is 7). 84 pitches in, we will probably see him for one more inning consisting the situation. I feel pretty good about him being a leader next year. Maybe Friday guy both 2023 and 2024 ?!?!?

It sure seems like Dernedde has had a tough fielding tourney He has not done well on hot, hard fields. I get it, I find my best performance when hydrated in a climate controlled room with comfortable surroundings. I don’t play baseball though.
