Stupidest comment ever uttered by anyone with an ounce of competitiveness. This Beaver Team is WAY better than that.

Why so we can burn through all of our pitching and lose in our own regional to say we made it to the final of the Pac-12 tourney? I was surprised that UCLA was trying to win.

I mean our guys are gonna compete when theres a game to play......but yea, this is unnecessary at this point. Why is a gimpy Melton even playing? And hopefully Logan is gonna be ok.

Understood the thinking but that was a good win to bounce back with after the rest of the day.

I'm pretty glad we decided to hang around and finish the doubleheader.

I figured someone would do this. I'm glad we won but the point still stands. This is essentially meaningless baseball in the grand scheme of this season. Melton was visibly limping when running. He wasn't in center. He's obviously got a lower body injury. Ultimately I trust the coaches, but it just seems weird that he'd be in the lineup.

This tournament will do nothing to enhance PAC-12 team's seeding in the tournament. Stanford will emerge unscathed, but UCLA and OSU in particular are hurting their outlook, with unnecessary innings pitched, and injuries. If the PAC-12 is to continue this pointless thing (and they will, cause everyone else is), they should either make it single elimination or just 4 teams. This is a brutally long weekend before regionals. I have never really understood playing a whole season in your conference and then playing a tournament. Teams have had three months to state their case. Time for new blood.

f%#* that noise. Maybe change the format & location, but a conference tournament doesn't seem to hurt SEC teams, who are all over Omaha every year.

On the one hand, competition is good for development. On the other hand, the format and venue leave a lot to be desired. On a third hand, hats off to UCLA for really fighting hard! Two unbelievable games that are only palatable (to Beaver fans) because of late game heroics.
Had Ucla taken game 2, I think more people would be agreeing with you, Bodhi.
