My unpopular opinion: Play tomorrow straight and do whatever needed to win that game, it is important. Final game Sunday is largely irrelevant...I think we are solidly four now, guaranteed four with win tomorrow. Sunday changes nothing. All-staff it Sunday to give some arms some work, and get some utility players some ABs and time in field. And, finally, don't start Hjerpe in game one. By "game one" you mean in the regionals or the final game of the tournament? I fear taking the foot of the gas. I want to keep the team sharp and I want them to hate losing. So if they make it to the tournament championship game, I want them to win it. Stay sharp. Stay hungry. Besides, we have enough difficulties in our hitting that need to get sorted out.

Out of nowhere? Sebby has been one of the most reliable bullpen options all season. last 18 innings (13 appearances)he has given up 8 earned runs . Era of 4.00 if fine but has been trending the wrong way the last month. Considering it was his longest and best outing all season I thought it was noteworthy Sebby was the best pitcher on the field last night. If for no other reason, than how he took care of Dylan Beavers. 4 innings, just 42 pitches, 13 batters faced, 1 hit, 5 SO, no BB....Agreed, that's noteworthy - particularly after the gasoline to the fire scenario by Carpenter - Sebby - Hibbard in the Sunday 5/15 game in Tucson.

Sebby has been a bit rough against Zona but other wise he has been nails all season. He and Ferrer are our best relievers by a mile. His curve was so brutal last night. Just absolutely burying it in the corner, batters looked cross eyed.

Game one being our 1-4 matchup in regional. I am a firm believer in a national seed being able to handle a 4 seed in a region. Then you are lined up for the remainder. Especially if we have Gonzaga in our region as they have at least two quality starters
