SECOND Best thing accomplished this morning by ASU: game time was under 3 hours & 15 minutes.
If other teams follow suit, Beavs should be able to start well before 10 p.m.

I am and will be really excited about this....the downside is that unless Gonzaga somehow vaults into Host, that Gonzaga and Grand Canyon are coming our way. That's fine though. Let Gonzaga use Hughes on Friday and then we'll go from there!

The 3rd game (before us) will not start until 4:45 pm at the earliest, so if the first two games are quick, it doesn't really matter. We need the 4:45 pm game to be quick.

Kiss that regional host goodbye .. I hope you are right about that. It may just have dropped them down to a lower seed, like number 16. There's no way they're getting out of their Regional if they host. Especially if the Zags and Grand Canyon end up there. It'll be like last year, when LSU knocked them off.

OK smartest person on the board. What happens to the 4:45 start time if the preceding game takes 5 hours? And then game 3 is a regular 3 hr or so game?

Let Gonzaga use Hughes on Friday and then we'll go from there! I agree with this. I was really hoping that Gonzaga or Oregon hosted, so that Gonzaga either plays in Spokane or Eugene. Gonzaga and Texas Tech are the two that I have seen in projections that I do not particularly care to see in Corvallis in eight days.

Read my post. The 3rd game will not start until 4:45 pm at the earliest. If the second game goes very long, it could make that one start later. However, the first two games going quick will not make game 3 start any earlier than 4:45 pm. That was the point.

Washington just had another runner thrown out at home. Not a good tournament for 3B coach Andy Jenkins so far.

Read what I highlighted that you said. If game 3 is quick, but starts late because of game 2, then in essence game 2 DOES have something to do with when our game will start. We need all 3 games to be quick, not just game 3.

Not a good tournament for 3B coach Andy Jenkins so far. call reversed by catcher obstruction by blocking the plate without the ball Not sure what you TV watchers saw, but that's a BS review. The catcher didn't go down seconds early. It was pretty much a simultaneous action. And, is truly a judgment in real time! Can't review it unless a run scoring play means it's crap. You can review obstruction or you can't. Who can say a play at 2B will not lead to a run?

And the call is overturned. Instead of the inning ending 6-3, it's 6-4 and the next guy hits a 2-run bomb to tie the game.
