Websites, George, websites. Not P-12 writers, national writers - I'm talking about BA, PG and Collegiate baseball to name a few. Nobody had us second on the net. You don't recall all those comments about how we don't hit and that was the basis for those fourth place predictions? Wilner with the Mercury News is a P-12 writer and he didn't have us 2nd. Stanford, UCLA and Arizona were getting more mention than OSU. That's sort of what I remember coming into the year. I thought we were predicted to finish behind Stanford and UCLA at least.

The drop in slugging percentage alone is quite pronounced. I am hoping that he gives other conferences fits come Tournament time. All-defensive Pac-12 outfielder is great. Just curious, but do your stats show the five games against Oregon as Pac 12, non-conference, or both? The games with Oregon always throw a monkey wrench into dividing up stats by conference/non. Boyd stats: BA OPS AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB SLG% BB HBP SO GDP OB% SF SH SB-ATT Non-conference: .392 1.093 79 24 31 6 1 3 29 48 .608 16 2 14 1 .485 4 1 14-17 Pac-12: .321 .978 109 30 35 3 2 4 16 54 .495 30 4 31 0 .483 0 3 8-11 Boyd hit home runs in each game at PK, so the slugging gap closed, but Boyd still has a better slugging and on base percentage in non-conference play. The batting average gap widened, as well.
