First, then second, now . . . . . 7th.
Big drop considering 1-2 weekend series losses to ranked teams.
Ouch!

I don't disagree. Our RPI is still 2, but we are trending down. Hopefully the ship gets righted in the conf tourney

Playing in Tucson a week ago in the heat may prove to have been a very good experience for this week.
Since April 10th, UW has only left the PNW one time for a three game series at SC in mid May. Nice mild temps that weekend, mid 70's, but certainly not what the Beavers dealt with in Tucson. The forecasted high for Wednesday is 102. I hope there's a nice big swimming pool at huskies hotel.

Top Ten records since the last weekend in April (roughly the last quarter of the season): Stanford 13-2 Maryland 11-2Virginia Tech 11-2 Tennessee 11-4 Miami 11-8 Louisville 10-4-1 Texas A&M 10-3 Oregon State 9-5 Gonzaga 8-3TCU 8-4
Maryland has a great case to be ranked ahead of Oregon State. And Gonzaga and TCU are right there to pass Oregon State, if the Beavers do not finish strong. I do not think that Oregon State has a ton of margin for error in Scottsdale.

Watch as Dorman throws him midday Saturday. If that happens, hopefully, someone will step in and put a stop to it.

Doesn't mean we can't get back there but the last two series were just weak baseball, especially on the hitting side of things. It'll take a great effort to get back the confidence that was lost, and it has to be a bunch!! Good luck Beavs, play with energy and attitude, you'll be fine...

Some time in the past year I watched a documentary about a university research project on developing the whitest, most light reflective paint possible. I want to say U. of Illinois, or Indiana, or......?.well it doesn't matter for this post. They met their goal and came up with a paint that actually cools the surface they test painted below the surrounding air temperatures even in direct sunlight. I wonder if uniforms that white would be allowed? I've seen umps at youth tournaments make batters change helmets because the one they were wearing was too shinny.

Wins and losses are arbitrary, and RPI is not? RPI is one of the most arbitrary metrics there is, highlighted by the fact that your RPI numbers for Maryland almost all appear to be different than the current numbers. I have put in what I think are the current numbers. Last weekend in April only includes the final four games against Oregon, so 10 games vs. top 50. Having said all of that, I 100% agree with your primary point, so I am not going to argue it. I am an Oregon State fan. It should matter more who you beat than just wins and losses. My point is that Oregon State's record over the past 25 days does not compare to the records of other teams in the top eight. Baseball America's ranking highlights that fact. And the Beavers may not have a ton of margin for error in a Tournament, especially if 2+ of the teams right behind Oregon State do well in their Tournament. The Committee has produced some egregiously-terrible results over the years, and I personally want Oregon State to leave as little doubt as is possible on Selection Day.

After last couple weeks… surprised we didn’t drop further. Went from tourney meaning not much… to maybe it would be good idea for Beavs to win some games…. As far as seed purposes…..

I was in the ballpark geographically. Coincidentally, 2 of Marylands' wins since last week of April came against Purdue (RPI is 124). The third game of the series was cancelled so they only played two.
