Temps expected to be 100 to 105 during the pac12 tourney. Doesn't Sacramento have a minor league ballpark that could handle the tourney? Weather in Sacramento would be nice and not horribly hot. Plus its easy to get to from any pac12 school.

Its beyond my comprehension how anyone would have thought playing baseball In Scottsdale at the end of May was a good idea. Its one thing if the games were at night. But they start late morning through the rest of the day.

The decision on where to play the tournament is suspect. The decision to have a tournament, at this moment at least, looks suspect as well. Right now the Pac-12 looks to have two teams (Beavs,Furd) as national seeds and one more (ucks)hosting a regional. UCLA and AZ also projected to qualify. Tell me how we improve this position with a tournament. Oh...and then there is that pesky little detail about having to potentially provide pitching for 6 games in 5 days the week before the real tournament starts. Think 26 runs in two games in the 2018 regional against LSU in part because they trashed their pitching arms in an attempt to win the SEC tournament. There are many things in my life that have sounded like a good idea until I started down the path to making them happen. Somebody should hit the reset button on this whole thing.

People are leaving the Phoenix area in droves this time of year...there is a reason...its called heat.

Also amazing that there looks to be almost no shade at that stadium - unlike Surprise. I don't think I could make it a full game during the day in those temperatures (even reapplying SPF 100+ every hour).

Could be Scottsdale negotiated a reasonable fee/kickbacks/perks.

PAC doesn't make money unless they get a sweet deal from the venue and businesses to attract the sunburned hoard. Scottsdale is probably absolutely thrilled to have their venue used for a full week in late May, no one else is booking! It could all be big Aloe Vera driving it but I don't want to jump to conclusions.
